Google Stadia

Google Stadia is a cloud gaming and streaming device that enable the users to stream games upto 4K 60 FPS and the benefits of having this device is that the user doesn’t need any powerful hardware or Gaming pc to run games. a good internet speed is plenty enough to stream games from google servers this device determines the future of Gaming as we all know internet is upgrading day by day. We all know technology evolves very fast. within a month a new technological term is added to world. And if we talk about online competitive gaming its gaining  popularity since the Esports culture begin to grow in many countries. So far we can predict there will be no barrier to buy a high end setup to do gaming a decent speed internet connection is enough to start a career in esports field.

1-      The overall cost of Stadia is cheap that to compared to other gaming platforms

2-      Hassle free installation don’t need to setup any software or operating system to install games. You have the games library in stadia where you can find your purchased games

3-      A small subscribition charge would be needed to acess games library

4-      The cost of electricity would be less comparitively to other power hungry gaming rigs

5-      Small space is enough doesn’t need any large space to kept

6-      It can be use as portable gaming device 

 

Some of the key points or we can say some of the cons of having Google stadia

1-      The device is cheap but it requires high speed internet connection to ensurity of smooth game play on desirable resolution but in some areas the high speed broadband services are expensive.

2-      The games that were stored in online library of stadia cant be played offline because the hardware is not that compatible to play games in offline mode as this device is made only for online game streaming.

3-      In some games the charges are quite higher in stadia platform

4-      It can be use as portable gaming device but you need to be sure about good internet connectivity every time before taking this device along with you

 

Development

Project Stream was Google's first announced sign of interest in video gaming products. The company had previously been rumored as working on a service called Project Yeti since at least 2016. Google had also hired gaming industry executive Phil Harrison and was seen recruiting developers during industry events in 2018. Project Stream's main differentiator from past services, such as On Live, GeForce Now, and PlayStation Now, is its ability to run in any desktop Chrome browser, so no additional software needs to be installed. The service uses AMD Radeon graphics hardware. Internally, the service was developed around 2016's Doom to show that the proof-of-concept worked in realistic settings across the public internet.

Games

Stadia requires users to purchase games to use over the service, though it offers a library of free games over time for Pro tier subscribers, as well as the first two years of Destiny 2 content for free for those who purchased the Founder's Pack. At the time of the platform's full reveal in June 2019, Google announced that Gylt by Tequila Works and Get Packed by Moonshine Studios would be exclusive to Stadia. The service launched with 22 games, and added 4 more in December 2019.In January 2020, Google announced that it planned to release over 120 games for Stadia during that year, of which 10 were timed-exclusives set to release in the first half of the year.

 

Availability

Stadia launched in November 2019 in fourteen countries: Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and at that time, limited to the Pro tier users. By 2020, Google plans to expand Stadia to more countries.

In April 2020 Google made Stadia available to anyone in the initially supported countries.
